I have been a short wave listener on and off from late 60s. My first receiver was built as a joint project with my Granddad - a multi band SW kit but I can’t remember its name.

I was involved with CB in the 70s – 80s. I then got involved with Amateur radio in the 90s and became a member of the Rolls-Royce Amateur Radio Club, where I studied for my RAE with Jack Waterhouse G4GOI as tutor, and in late 95 passed and got my callsign  on the 31st Jan 96.

My main interests are VHF and upward. My favourite band is 4m. I have radios that will cover bands 4m to 23cm would like to go higher one day but need to consolidate bands I have first.

I have HF but don’t use it a lot.

I am also involved with model rockets. I have Level 1 HP.
