Hi, the name is Phil 2E0PHL (formally M3SKN) and I live in Skipton. My radio set up is currently a Yaesu FT857 to tri-band collinear. I also use an Alinco handheld when out portable.

I don't tend to get on air much from my home QTH as I am very busy with my other activities mainly working with the Scouts and my work takes me away quite a lot.

Along with my CRAG colleagues I recently put together the very successful JOTA weekend featured elsewhere on this website.

Having been a keen hillwalker and outdoor enthusiast for over 30 years my main radio interests are with Summits on the Air SOTA and I am a very busy activator, usually in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. When SOTA'ing I use the Alinco and/or the 857 to a SOTA beam Yagi or a collapsible Slim-Jim. I keep promising to experiment with HF but never seem to get round to it.

I am often accompanied on these SOTA trips by my teenage son Andrew who is also licensed as M3NYF.
